What type of payments are accepted online?
– Credit Cards – Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express
– eCheck/ACH – electronic check
How much are the fees?
– Credit Card – $2.95 service fee plus 3% – AmEx is 3.25%
– eCheck/ACH – $2.95/payment – There is a maximum limit of $7,500 per electronic check payment
How are payments made?
Payments can be made at PayLease.com
Can an agent waive the extra fees?
No. No one at BHHS Fox & Roach can waive the fees. PayLease.com charges and collects the fees at the time the payment is made.
Can payment still be mailed or dropped off?
Yes. Any payments received less than 30 days prior to check-in must be in certified funds.
Can credit card payments be made over the phone or in person?
No. All credit card payments must be made through PayLease.com.
Can payments be cancelled?
Subject to cancellation policy in the lease. Purchasing Travel Insurance is your best protection.
Can yearly tenants make payments online?
Yes, but not with a credit card. The NJ Real Estate Commission prohibits credit card payments on any rental that is more than 125 consecutive days.
What information do I need to pay online?
You will need the property address (including floor/unit), tenant name (if different from the person paying) and amount due. All information will be on the first page of the lease.
How do I find the property address on the online portal?
To select the property address where you are staying, all of the addresses are in numerical order by the house # so it is easier to find the property if you click the address box, this opens the drop down and only appears like you cannot type but you can now start typing the house #, that will take you to that part of the list. This will be easier than scrolling through the entire list of 3,000 properties.
Do all owners accept credit cards?
No. A few of the owners have opted out of credit cards but you can still make payment online using electronic check. For owners who have opted out, when you get to the payment options the credit card option will not show.
